CHICK-FIL-A, OH HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN!

I have absolutely no idea if their sandwiches are better than the competitors’…

It doesn’t matter!

By the way, I didn’t stand in the long lines along with other Christians to support them when the left radical forces called for boycotts. I was on a strict diet and would not touch sandwiches at the time. But most in my family are staunch supporters!

I was definitely on their side and admired them for taking a stand for the traditional family, Christian values and faith! It was refreshing!

Recently, things have changed at the top of the fast food chain: caving to economic new found interests and liberal pressure, Chick-fil-A would no longer support organizations promoting conservative principles, donating instead to progressive causes. They deny it, but… you get the idea!

Beyond disappointment, we need to get used to this kind of betrayal.

This is why boycotts and moral obsession should never be a part of too much dispute when considering where we buy our stuff from.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:25 that „you may eat any meat that is sold in the marketplace without raising questions of conscience.”

First, most vendors are not there to promote values, but products!

Second, even those that would appear to have principles, might betray the cause when under pressure or go under and fail as a business.

Being too scrupulous about the moral quality of the marketplace is not a happy ending endeavor and Apostle Paul is specific about it.

Now, of course, if a company publicly announces its dark, pagan, demonic background we have to exercise our right to choose another vendor.

But in the end, conscience is supposed to keep our personal lives in line with the Word of God and too much energy debating about perishables might not be a good idea.

I avoid as much as possible some stores, restaurants and places though I’m afraid that pretty soon we’ll run out of choices…

Chick-fil-A is the latest but not the last to abandon us. Who knows, opening its restaurants on Sundays would be next…
